Privacy
This policy explains what OKC Daybook (okcdaybook.com) collects and how it is used. We do not sell personal information.
Who we are
OKC Daybook is an events and local notes site for the Oklahoma City metro, operated at okcdaybook.com (apex domain, no www). Questions: contact form.
What we collect
- Newsletter signup: email address and city preferences. Signup uses double opt-in. Handled through Formspree, then our email list provider.
- Event submissions: your name, email, and the event details you send so we can review and reply.
- Problem reports, contact, and advertising inquiries: name or email and the message you submit, via Formspree.
- Necessary site data: consent choice stored in your browser (localStorage) so we remember analytics and marketing preferences.
Analytics and advertising pixels
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and the Meta (Facebook) pixel load only after you allow analytics and marketing in the consent banner. Until then they stay off.
- GA4: page views and events such as newsletter signup, ticket clicks, and form submits, used to understand how the site is used.
- Meta pixel (ID 3013479342319526): page views and conversion events after marketing consent, used to measure ads and reach. Meta may combine this with other data it holds under its own policies.
You can clear site data or choose “Necessary only” again to stop future analytics and marketing loads in this browser.
Cookies and similar storage
- Necessary: consent preference and anything required to run the site.
- Analytics: GA4 cookies after consent.
- Marketing: Meta pixel cookies after consent.
Form processors
Public forms post to Formspree so we can receive email notifications. Formspree’s processing is covered by their privacy policy. Do not submit passwords or payment card numbers through these forms.
How long we keep data
Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and run the site, then deleted or archived. Analytics data follows Google’s and Meta’s retention settings for our accounts.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe links in newsletter emails.
- Consent banner: necessary only, or allow analytics and marketing.
- Request a correction or takedown via report a problem (within two business days for takedowns).
- Email us through contact to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion where applicable.
Children
The site is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
